Q&A Café with Carol Joynt Coming To TV-16

(Washington, DC) A hearty lunch and exceptional conversation coalesce on TV-16 as the District of Columbia Office of Cable Television (OCT) announces the addition of The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt to the programming schedule.

The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt, a free-flowing interview program videotaped weekly during lunch at Nathans Restaurant in Georgetown, offers TV-16 viewers an intimate and illuminating visit with an array of guests that will include elected and appointed officials, community leaders, journalists, writers, celebrities and entrepreneurs. From emergency preparedness to crime prevention, health and nutrition, sports, politics, foreign policy and the local economy, The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt presents forthright and candid conversation. The premier episode of The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt features journalist Dan Rather discussing the state of network news, his career and his current project Dan Rather Reports on HDNet television.

The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt is hosted by Emmy-winning journalist and District resident Carol Joynt. Joynt’s accomplishments include working as a reporter for Time Magazine, a writer for Walter Cronkite and producer for multiple television talk show and interview icons including Charlie Rose, David Brinkley, Ted Koppel, Larry King and Chris Matthews. She has worked for all of the major networks, and has directed several documentary films. Joynt created the The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt in 2001 and is enthusiastic about bringing her talk show to TV-16, emphasizing “The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt started as a community service. Our focus may be the world but we are uniquely of Washington, and in that spirit the interviews are a perfect fit for TV-16.”

OCT Director Eric E. Richardson described The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt as “a valuable asset to the TV-16 schedule, not only because of the content, but the outstanding journalistic integrity that Carol brings to the show. She has the ability to capture the raw, unseen side of each guest allowing the viewer to experience moments that you won’t see anywhere else.”

The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt will premier on TV-16 on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 8:00 pm, and will subsequently be presented on TV-16 each Friday at 8:00 pm.

Upcoming guests on The Q&A Café with Carol Joynt will include best-selling novelist David Baldacci, author of “Absolute Power” and “Stone Cold”; and Martha Joynt Kumar, professor of political science at Towson University and author of the book “Managing the President's Message: The White House Communications Operation”. For further information about reservations telephone general manager Jon Moss at Nathans Restaurant directly at 202-338-2000, and visit the website: www.nathansgeorgetown.com.
