OCT Studio A

The Office of Cable Television Studio Control Room A is used for in-studio production of the agency's original programs, live cablecasts of special features, and other long form programs. This 3100 square foot, 48 feet wide, 64 foot long and 20 foot high studio contains four Hitachi SK-888 Digital Cameras with Listec Teleprompter capabilities on two, a 250 channel ETC Express lighting system, 16 mike level audio inputs, 8 IFB inputs, and a full-scale Clear Com intercom system. From the studio, we are able to produce live, as well as live to tape programs, ranging from one on one interviews to forums and debates. Additionally, we have a Sony DMX-R100 48 input digital audio mixer complimented with CD, mini CD, cassette player/recorders.

Studio A also boasts a state-of-the-art Control Room, outfitted with two 67" Clarity display monitors, the innovative Ross Synergy 1 digital switcher, and a FX Deko graphic generator. Studio A uses two videotape formats for playback and record: DVCAM and Digital Beta, as well as an in-house Omneon digital server with a storage capacity of 240 hours. Digital videotape is used to insure a final product that is broadcast-standard quality.
