Operations
Division
The
purpose of the Operations Division is to provide leadership, direction
and oversight over all administrative functions in support of the
mission of the Office of Cable Television (OCT). These functions include
Support Services, Information Technology, Facilities Management, Budget,
and Financial matters, Risk Management, and Customer Services.
MANAGER
Serve as Administrative Officer coordinating all administrative
services for OCT. The incumbent provide the following: supervision
of staff, human resources services, contracts and procurement services,
property management, financial services, space planning, risk management
and logistical support.
Develops policy
and procedures, and efficient and data driven system of management
and consumer related administrative supports. The Operations Division
is responsible for providing leadership in the development of the
agency's annual budget and fiscal performance standards. The Office
provides recommendations on revenue enhancements and cost containment
measures to the Director of Cable Television.
SUPPORT SERVICES
Incumbents of this function provide a variety of services that if
not provided services of OCT would be curtailed or stopped. These
services include: communications, procurement of administration
supplies and equipment, printing, reproduction, property and space
management, records management, mail service, facility and equipment
maintenance, and transportation.
INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY (IT)
Provides IT support to meet the mission of OCT in accomplishing
its day-to-day operations and maintenance and management of data
through a comprehensive client server, Local Area Network (LAN)
for OCT. Operate a helpdesk to assist OCT employees. Accomplishes
general repair and maintenance to desktop computers and replace
hardware such as motherboards, network adapter cards, hand driver,
etc.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
The customer support function is the communication link with the
consumers. Manages customer cable complaints, mediates and resolves
customer cable related problems, measures monthly performance of
all franchise holders in the District of Columbia and ensures compliance
with all governing standards, rules and regulations.
